REHABILITATION
Many of our horses are currently going through Rehabilitation.
When horses arrive at Blue Acre they are assessed and closely monitored by the co-founders and trustee's, Veanne and Caron. Time and patience is given to the horses to settle in and the two ladies will approach them and monitor their behaviors as well as try and establish what mental and physical state they are in.
Caron and our volunteers will work closely together to design individual programs for each of the horses which come through our gates. This can range from basic human touch, care and nurturing to full exercise regime to build muscle, fitness, brain stimulation and continuing to allow each horse to grow to their full potential.
Rehabilitating unfortunately doesn't happen over night. It takes time, patience and a lot of TLC to show these horses they are now safe and can trust in us to live their happily ever after.
